6th IWA Eastern European Young Water Professionals Conference “East meets West”

The conference in Istanbul (Turkey) will be the 6th event organized by IWA for young water professionals from countries of CIS and Eastern Europe. This conference is a special edition – “East meets West”, it means it is organized for young water professionals from all countries of Europe (and Asian CIS countries). More than 670 young water professionals from more than 40 countries participated in our five previous conferences: Minsk, Belarus – 2009; Moscow, Russia – 2010; Almaty, Kazakhstan – 2011; Saint Petersburg, Russia – 2012 and Kiev, Ukraine – 2013.

In 2014 we are going to meet again and this time in city situated between Europe and Asia and combining eastern and western cultures and traditions – Istanbul! It is not only a beautiful historic city but also easily accessible. Moreover nor citizen of CIS countries neither citizens of European Union will need a visa (No need for a visa).

For young water professionals coming from CIS countries we have reduced participation fee; additional reduction is foreseen for IWA members. Many of you who participated in the five previous IWA conferences already know that conference topics have high levels of scientific interest. Coffee-breaks and lunch-breaks are long in order to give young water professionals an opportunity to exchange ideas and build a network.

During the conference in Istanbul panel discussions will be organized when senior water professionals will answer questions from young colleagues and several workshops. The publications will be included to the Conference Proceedings, water related journals, the best publctaions will be published in the Journals of IWA.
